Wâciye! My name is Cassie, and Little Robin’s Bead Co. is an extension of my cultural journey. What began as a small creative outlet, slowly became something much deeper. A return to culture.

I am an Illilewiskwew / Moose Cree woman of Scotish, Irish and French ancestry living in Bawaating (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario). Raised in Northern Ontario, I developed a deep connection with nature and an appreciation for a slower, more intentional pace of life. The quiet, delicate art of beadwork allows me creative freedom while caring for myself in a way that honours living with chronic illness.
Rooted in Reconnection
I began beading in 2022, when I was gifted a small beading kit. In that time, beadwork became both comfort and creative freedom.
Little Robin’s Bead Co. grew alongside my journey of cultural reconnection, a path I continue to walk in honour of my grandmother, who did not have the same opportunities to experience culture and community. Named after her, the business officially launched in 2024.
Today, I strive to design my beadwork with intention and grateful heart. The teachings remind us that the thoughts and emotions we carry while creating are held within each bead. Beadwork is medicine, not only in what it becomes, but in how it is made.
