This design is a collaboration between Little Robin’s Bead Co. and Cree poet Lakeisha Marie, inspired by her poem Nikâwiy, which reflects the sacred bond between mother and child. This design is intended to honour all the women who nurture, guide, and hold our communities together.

The 2026 pre-orders will end Oct 15th, or once out of stock. We are estimating 2-3 weeks for printing and early to mid November shipping. If other items (stickers, beadwork etc.) are ordered, they will be held and shipped together once the shirts are ready.
Honouring our Matriarchs
This t-shirt design is a collaboration between Little Robin’s Bead Co., and Cree poet Lakeisha Marie, inspired by her poem Nikâwiy. The poem reflects the sacred relationship between mother and child, a bond built through quiet acts of love and understanding. It is a love letter to mothers and matriarchs, honouring the emotions often left unspoken and the deep gratitude we carry for those who nurture and guide us.
Cassie created an accompanying design that visually represents this connection through imagery of closeness and nurturing love. Featuring a floral strawberry pattern, the strawberry is known as the heart berry in many Indigenous teachings and symbolizes love and compassion.
